MARGARET MAXWELL McLAUGHLIN has worked in international development for over 30 years with the U.S. Peace Corps, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), and the U.S. Department of State’s Foreign Service Institute (FSI). Her career focused primarily on girls’ education and women empowerment. She has a Masters in Teaching and a Doctorate in International Education. Her published works include a Sun and Moon poetry series and the historical fiction series Beloved Reconciliation.
LOUISA CLERICI’s stories have been published in literary anthologies and magazines, including Carolina Woman Magazine, The Istanbul Literary Review, and Best New England Crime Stories 2016, 2015, and 2012. Her work was featured by SWAN, Support Women Artists Now and National League of American Pen Women. She is the co-creator of The Delishiocity Deck/Fiction Magician Game, the writer for The Plymouth Cookbook, and the fiction editor of Pink Panther Magazine.
GLYN DOWDEN is a Welsh writer who was born during the second World War into a working-class family. He and his young family moved to the United States in 1976. Glyn’s business activities involved frequently visiting and working in most areas of the world. He now resides in Massachusetts, has published a memoir, two poetry books, and a book of fictional short stories. He also performs poetry readings and is working on a new fictional book.
JOHN and JOANNA McWILLIAM met each other in 1973, in Zaria, Nigeria. The couple couldn’t have been more different. John was raised in western New York State and joined the Peace Corps in Sierra Leone as soon as he finished college. This experience set him up for a career in international development. Joanna was born in Los Angeles and settled in Nigeria to study African history and teach. Now residing on Cape Cod, they continue to express a profound appreciation and love of African culture.
